Improvised theatre is the art of creating short and long stories from scratch
No scripts. No sets. No costumes. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad and mostly somewhere between the two. Real relationships, real conversations, real people. Like real life and just as hilarious.
No experience of acting or writing needed. Come along and play like the five year old you're meant to be. Laugh with abandon and find your story.

Your story, your way.
Adam is a qualified teacher and actor with performance experience on stage and screen, working with Olivia Coleman and Helena Bonham-Carter in The Crown and in Three Little Birds, written by Sir Lenny Henry.
He studied improvisation at East 15 Acting School and has performed all over the world.
He performs improvised theatre and comedy weekly in both his home city of Derby, and Nottingham.
He is part of Impromp Two & Co. an international ensemble of improvised theatre actors performing at festivals all over the world.

Find your community…
Be yourself
No experience is needed to get started. Simply bring your curiosity and a willingness to have fun in a supportive, judgment-free environment.
Whether you're looking to build confidence, meet like-minded people, or try something completely new, these workshops are designed for everyone. You don't need previous training, to be an extrovert, or to be naturally funny. Improv is about learning through play, collaboration, and discovering what you're capable of in the moment.
Learn how spontaneous discovery leads to memorable characters, engaging scenes, and unexpected moments of comedy. Every session is filled with creative exploration and practical exercises.
Through a series of fun games and guided activities, you'll develop the core principles of improvisation. You'll learn to trust your instincts, embrace the unexpected, and create stories with others that could never have been scripted.
Experience the joy of creating together in a friendly, safe, and playful atmosphere. Every contribution matters, and every mistake becomes an opportunity.
Improv isn't about being the funniest person in the room—it's about listening, supporting your fellow performers, and saying "yes" to new ideas. As your confidence grows, you'll become more comfortable thinking on your feet while developing genuine connections with your group.
Discover the kind of performer you naturally are while exploring different characters, stories, and comedic styles. There's no right way to be funny.
By working with a group of supportive, like-minded creatives, you'll uncover your own strengths and learn how your individuality contributes to every performance. Each workshop helps you become more expressive, confident, and creative.
Put everything you've learned into practice with a live performance for friends and family. Celebrate your progress in a fun and memorable showcase.
Working together as an ensemble, you'll create and perform original improvised scenes that demonstrate your new skills. It's the perfect way to finish your journey and share the excitement of spontaneous theatre with others.

THE PROCESS
About me
I want to help people change who, whether or not they know it, want to change – for the better.
I am inspired by people who take themselves out of their comfort zones, their familiar habits, and decide to be something different. Something more than they were yesterday. People who enquire of themselves and others. People who want to ask what it is like to be something else. Who say “I don’t know – now, but I will find out because I want to be better and I want to grow.”
I love to see people change, develop, progress, evolve - and then help others to do the same. I love being part of the process or being the catalyst that helps make the change.
I want to build communities and connections between people. Enable them to see the magnificence of themselves through the eyes of others. Improvised theatre can achieve this.
This is why I do what I do.

Every session boosted my mood by providing stimulating exercises to get the grey matter working in new ways. At the same time you build a rapport with your fellow performers, learn new skills and create fun memories! All of this is delivered with clear, helpful instruction from an enthusiastic and positive teacher. Would highly recommend.

Working with Adam was a real confidence boost and he has a knack of making everyone feel at ease. I'm very grateful to have been working with such an experienced and engaging teacher.
GM, Beeston
I honestly believe that the reason I came so close to gaining a role I really wanted was because of the confidence I'd gained. If in doubt, go for it!
LB, Derby
Adam is a patient, yet inspiring trainer with a lot of acting and training experience so you are in safe hands, and he encourages you to try your own thing too. Highly recommended. Don’t miss it.
EPS, Derby
Particularly good at building support between his students and reassuring us that we couldn't actually get it wrong. A great way to try improv!
